Discord bots terms of service

Terms for Ace, Pyr, and Stasis — the three bots in the official Acepyr Discord server. Bot answers are not authoritative, and community points have no monetary value.

These terms cover the three bots we operate in the official Acepyr community Discord server: Ace, Pyr, and Stasis.

By interacting with these bots, or by participating in the community points and roles system they run, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't interact with them — contact us and we'll exclude you from the points system.

These bots run only in our own community server. They are not public and cannot be added elsewhere.

1. What the bots are

Ace answers questions about Acepyr in our main community channel and in seven regional language channels.
Pyr is a conversational assistant in one community channel that explains how points and roles work.
Stasis runs the points, roles, invites, leaderboards, rewards, support tickets, and moderation logging.

2. Ace and Pyr are automated, and are not authoritative

They are not people. Every response is machine-generated, including conversation openers Pyr posts on its own.

They can be wrong. Answers may be out of date, incomplete, or simply incorrect. Nothing either bot says is a promise, a contract, or an official statement by Acepyr. Where a bot's answer conflicts with our official documentation, terms, or a team announcement, the official source governs and the bot does not.

This matters most for points and roles. The bots explain how the system works, but the live configuration is the authority, not a bot's description of it. Thresholds and point values change. Don't rely on a number a bot gives you — check the official documentation or the in-server displays.

They don't give financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Nothing either bot says should be treated as any of those, however it's phrased.

They can't act on your account. They can't move funds, change balances, award points, or resolve disputes. For anything account-specific, use our human support channels.

3. Community points and roles are not property

Points have no monetary value. They are not a currency, a security, a token, or a balance. They're an internal score recognising participation.

Points are not owned by you. They're a record we maintain. They can't be bought, sold, traded, transferred, or gifted, and can't be exchanged for anything except through reward mechanisms we ourselves operate.

Points and thresholds change. We may change how points are earned, what each action is worth, what the thresholds are, and what each role requires — at any time, without notice, and with effect on your existing standing.

Roles are granted and removed automatically. The system recalculates continuously. A role you hold today may be removed if you no longer qualify, if the configuration changes, or if we correct an error.

We may correct, adjust, or reset points and roles — individually or server-wide — to fix bugs, reverse abuse, or rebalance the system.

4. Rewards

Where we run a reward distribution based on community standing:

Running one is entirely at our discretion. We're not obliged to run any distribution, to run it on a schedule, or to run it again.
Eligibility is determined by a snapshot taken at a time we choose.
Meeting a threshold does not create an entitlement. Nothing here is a promise of payment.
You're responsible for any tax arising from anything you receive.
If you give us a wallet address, you're responsible for it being correct. We cannot recover anything sent to an address you entered incorrectly.

5. What you agree not to do

With the assistants:

Try to make them produce content that's illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or otherwise in breach of Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
Try to extract their underlying instructions, or manipulate them into behaving outside their intended purpose.
Use automation to message them, or deliberately generate excessive load.
Present their output as an official statement from Acepyr.

With the points system:

Farm invites. Creating or coordinating accounts that join to generate referral credit is prohibited. We reverse referral credit when an invited member leaves, and we act on patterns.
Use alternate accounts to earn points more than once.
Inflate chat activity artificially — spam, filler, automation, or coordinated posting whose purpose is accumulating points rather than communicating.
Manipulate social engagement through fake, purchased, or automated activity.
Link an account you don't control, including an X account or a wallet address belonging to someone else.
Abuse the ticket system, including false reports.
Interfere with, reverse-engineer, or exploit the points engine.

If you do: we may remove points, remove roles, exclude you from rewards, close your tickets, or refer the matter to server moderation — at our discretion and without notice. Where abuse has already produced a reward, we may seek to reverse it.

6. Linked accounts

If you link an X account or submit a wallet address, you confirm you control it. You can remove or replace it at any time. A given account or address can only be linked to one member — if it's already linked to someone else, the link will be refused.

7. Moderation and logging

Stasis keeps a moderation record, which includes retaining the content of messages posted in public channels for 14 days so deleted and edited messages can be reviewed. This protects the community from scams, phishing, and impersonation.

By posting in public channels you acknowledge this logging happens. It's described in full in the Discord Bots Privacy Policy.

Our bots do not read direct messages.

8. Availability

The bots are rate-limited and won't respond to everything. They may be offline, changed, or withdrawn at any time without notice. Points may fail to register during an outage, and we're not obliged to credit them retroactively, though we generally try. Leaderboards and displays may lag behind the underlying data.

We don't guarantee availability, accuracy of any displayed figure, or continuity of any feature.

9. Your content

You keep all rights to what you write. Ace and Pyr don't store your messages; Stasis's retention is set out in the Discord Bots Privacy Policy.

By interacting with the assistants, you permit us to process the text of your messages and the surrounding conversation for the sole purpose of generating a reply. That permission ends when the reply is generated.

10. Suspension

We may stop a bot responding to you, or exclude you from the points and rewards system, with or without notice, if you breach these terms. This is separate from any moderation action taken against your Discord account by server staff.

11. No warranty

The bots are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy of output.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Acepyr is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of these bots or your participation in the points system — including lost points, lost roles, missed rewards, or any decision taken in reliance on a bot's output or a displayed figure.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
