News & digest

Acepyr's in-product announcements feed, and the optional email digest — how to turn it on, and how to stop it.

Acepyr publishes announcements in-product, and can send them to you by email if you ask it to.

Both are new and quiet right now

No announcements have been published yet, and the email digest is not currently sending. This page describes how both work so the settings make sense when you find them.

The announcements feed

Announcements are posted in-product and readable without any setup — there is nothing to subscribe to and nothing to configure. Each one has its own page so it can be linked to directly.

The email digest is off unless you turn it on

The digest is opt-in. A new account does not receive it. Nothing arrives in your inbox because you signed up — you turn it on yourself, in your notification settings, and it stays off until you do.

Two things are required before a digest can reach you:

RequirementWhy
You switched the digest onIt is opt-in; the default is off
Your email address is verifiedAnyone can type anyone's address at signup. Verification is what proves the inbox is yours, so an unverified address is never mailed

If you subscribed but never verified your address, the digest will not send to you. Verifying it in your account settings is what completes the opt-in.

Turning it off

Every digest carries an unsubscribe link, and it works without logging in. Click it from your mail client and the digest stops.

That link is built to keep working:

  • It does not expire. A digest from a year ago still unsubscribes you.
  • It is safe to click twice. A second click confirms rather than erroring — useful when you want to be sure it took.
  • It only ever unsubscribes. The link is not a login and grants no access to your account. Anyone who got hold of it could stop your newsletter and nothing else.

You can also toggle the digest off in your notification settings, which does exactly the same thing.

Unsubscribing does not affect essential email

Turning off the digest stops the digest only. Email you need in order to use your account — address verification, sign-in codes, password reset — is separate and keeps working. Your account, balance and record are untouched either way.
